Alveley Cricket Club believe that Youth cricket plays an integral part in ensuring the clubs future. A strong youth section is good for the cricket club, the community and helping the youngsters to develop their cricket and social skills.

From its early years Alveley Cricket Club has invested in its young cricketers. The club provides opportunities for young people between the ages of 4 and 17 to receive coaching. Coaching is by qualified coaches who are trained and have been screened for their suitability for working with young people.

The club has been awarded Sport England's Clubmark, which is awarded to by the ECB to club's who are able to demonstrate that it meets the ECB's criteria as to it's playing programme; child protection; sports equity and ethics and club management. Clubmark is an acknowledgement that we take these issues seriously and that we are striving to provide a high quality and welcoming environment for young participants in the sport.

Alveley Cricket Club has Child Protection and welfare officer in place for the well being of our youth members.

Equipment is provided by the club, although certain items will need to be provided by the youth member or their parents. If a member wishes to use any of their own equipment, they may do so.

Alveley's coaching has produced many players who have gone on to represent the club in the adult version of the game, represent Shropshire at youth and senior level as well as playing first class cricket.
