2022 Achievements – Alveley Cricket Club – Thank you for your continued support

2022 – Shropshire All Stars Club of the Year voted by Shropshire Cricket Board and Shropshire Star

  • Junior numbers increased by 400%
  • X18 Friday night coaching sessions for children aged 5years and over, attracted x150 people per week including kids, parents and family members
  • X20 coaching sessions delivered at Alveley Primary School
  • X120 children attend a primary school festival
  • All Stars Grew  (Children aged 5-8yrs)
  • Dynamos Grew (Children 8-11yrs)
  • We delivered womens Softball sessions

Four Oaks Hosted

  • Worcestershire over 60’s and 70’s matches
  • Worcestershire, Shropshire and Warwickshire girls county games @ U13 and U15’s
  • Worcestershire and Shropshire boys county games @ U11’s and U13’s
  • Delivered x20 days of summer holiday activities for over 150 kids
  • Over x70 matches taking place during 2022

County & England call Ups

  • Ellie Anderson voted Worcestershire Womens Junior player of the season and elected to play for England U19 World Cup in South Africa in 2023 (Ellie continues to play for Alveley, she joined the club aged 8)
  • Junior players playing for Worcestershire and Shropshire County sides, more have been selected for the 2023 squads including Millie Carr for Central Sparks Development squad.

Pavilion

  • October 2022 work started on a 110k project to install a pitched roof, disabled access and extend changing rooms (Funded through a grant from Sport England and club contribution).
  • The Pavilion hosted 18th, 21st and 50th birthday parties as well as meetings and events.

Charity Work

  • Donated x2 full shopping trolly’s to Ukraine Appeal
  • Raised funds for Community First Responders
